A soft felt tree that hangs on the wall, with ornaments that press on and pull off. Children can decorate it as often as they like without a single glass bauble at risk. It turns the excitement of the season into something they can do themselves, and it packs away flat for next year.
How your child plays with it
- Decorate by choice — Picking where each ornament goes gives the child real say in the season's preparations.
- Press and pull — Attaching and removing hook-and-loop ornaments strengthens finger and hand control.
- Talk about it — Naming shapes, colours and patterns on the tree builds vocabulary as you chat.

How to give it the Montessori way
Hang the tree low enough for your child to reach the top, and keep the ornaments in a basket below. Chat about the shapes and colours as they decorate, without directing where things go.
