These blocks are soft and large, which makes them easier to hold than hard plastic bricks. Children build trucks, houses and animals, or simply stack until they topple. They can be washed at a high temperature, which helps when toddlers mouth things.
How your child plays with it
- Building — Stacking and joining blocks builds hand strength and an early feel for structure.
- Colour recognition — Sorting blocks by colour makes colours part of everyday play.
- Patience — Rebuilding after a fall teaches calm persistence.

How to give it the Montessori way
Put out a small basket of blocks rather than the whole set, and join two together slowly while your child watches. Let them build freely, and leave the basket on a low shelf for tidying away.
