Toilet learning goes more smoothly when a child can manage the setup themselves. This trainer puts a seat at child height with steps to climb, and folds flat when it is not needed. The aim is simple: your child feels able, and you step back a little.
How your child plays with it
- Independence — Climbing the steps and sitting without help lets the child take charge of the routine.
- Body awareness — A comfortable seat and steady footing help a child notice and respond to what their body is telling them.
- Routine — A familiar spot in the bathroom makes it easier to build calm, repeatable habits.

How to give it the Montessori way
Show your child the steps and seat at a calm moment, not when they urgently need it, and let them practise climbing up and down. Keep it in the same spot so the routine becomes theirs.
